Otherwise, we're in the same boat we were before the patch. I'm really disappointed in this game this year. I got burned at the stake the last time I said this, but I can't help but feel let down by my favorite baseball series of all time. I mean, look at the list of glitches alone.

That's gotta be the biggest list of bugs I've ever seen. I give them credit if they were actually able to fix all of them. But seriously, maybe testing the game a little more before release would be a better strategy next year. It's already probably going to keep me from buying it day one. I was very critical of people who didn't want to buy the game day one this year in the hope that they could save some money. My argument was that The Show is one of the few games worth $60. But all these glitches have made me eat crow on that one.

Considering that several aspects of the game were just made functional today, it makes me wonder how much money I could have saved. I probably could have gotten this during this past weekend's B2G1 sale at Gamestop. The ONLY incentive to buy a game at launch is to be able to enjoy it from the beginning. If companies can't provide a fully working product, that incentive is negated.

Before I get thrown down the well, let me say, this is NOT a personal attack on Sony or The Show. I've pretty much decided that with all my sports games. Madden 09 was buggy, NHL 09 had a glitch that made people gods. If these companies continue to release games that need huge fixes to appease their fanbase, then I'll start waiting for the fixes before I buy the game...and save myself $15-20 in the process.

The bold part is what I'm responding to yes that is correct can't upload any of those old rosters anymore they have to do all that work over again.

While we were still in the patch process and before we made any call on this subject I talked to Knight and asked him what he thought about this since hes the roster guru. He says it sucks, but he understands do it if it fixes the problem so we did.

This was a terrible decision if you ask me.
The Chef, someone just posted that it still works. I don't know, I haven't tried it yet.

Am I correct in my previous post that if we use
SCEA 4/20 and 4/27 as our base, our rosters will be fine and career stat glitch free?

That's cool. Getting it fixed is the main thing.

Did you get my PM about CPU roster control and all that jazz? Any news on that?

Thanks again.

The glitch is that there's no natural regression due to age like in previous years. So, in real life, a player might hit his peak at about 31 and then start to uncontrollably decline and then they'll typically retire once they're no longer competitive. This glitch makes it so that the player is always progressing and never has that decline. I simmed out a career to see what RTTS was like this year with the additions of Rule 5, Waviers, etc. and by 31 or 32 years old, my player was maxed out in every category. I kept going until he was 41 and he was still maxed out and had the maximum amount of points available. If I recall correctly, I won like 12 straight MVP awards and that's just ridiculous(and from past experience, it's easier to have a good player if you play every game than it is to sim).

So, it takes away from the competitiveness of trying to have a good career because everyone will have a great career and will always make the Hall of Fame. Comparatively, it's like playing chess with a 5 year old. You know you're going to dominate before the game even starts and it takes the fun away from it.

I don't know what thread you're talking about though(this is my first time on here in about a week). I did a search for a "patch is coming" thread and didn't find any thread by that title. And, there's no workaround for this that I know of for this.

Well, I have the same problem too. After applying the patch today, I was able to play ONE RTTS GAME without restarting to the Home Screen. I thought they fixed this initially, but just as I was about to try out another game along the schedule, the same problem returned.... Forget it, time to make a new RTTS career
