OK, so I just got to the amateur draft in my franchise and I selected five players. They said I had until the end of the season to sign them, but I signed them a few days after the draft. However, they are not on my AA or AAA teams? Do I not get them assigned until the end of the year or am I missing something here?

I'm pretty sure you have to wait until the end of the season, but I could be very well wrong.

They join your team (if you sign them) during the off-season.
