I beat the Rays 6-1. Hamels 4 innings, 5 K's, and only 1 hit given up to Navarro on a hanger curve.

Man, I dunno what to think right now. Don't get me wrong. Game looks beautiful. BUT, if the game is this easy then its gonna take some sliders for me to keep playing as I'll get bored. I had 7 hits and 6 runs and I crushed a curveball twice. Once for a Howard homer then came back with a double off the wall by Utley. Utley crashed into the wall going for it and that was a great sight to behold tho.

I was able to go from an 0-2 count to getting walked. I walked a total of 2 times. Great to see that you can walk in this game with working the count.

I am definitely gonna play legend mode the next time I play (won't be until tomorrow tho as I work nights).

Hope legend isn't too hard otherwise I'm going to have to find a slider adjustment between the two modes. Actually tho, if Legend is as hard as the people say it is then that will be the mode for me. I really am not bragging. I'm too old for that crap. I guess this is why I enjoy playing in a good league ONLINE because a computer AI is just not smart enough when it comes to pitching to me.

As for visuals.. Everything is gorgeous. I don't care about player models not being exactly right tho. Everything is fluid too. And playing defense is a treat for once. Really nice work here. Hard to describe but it just FEELS right.

Jim was right about recognizing pitches and speeds better this year. Unfortunately I think that made it easier for me in this first game I played. This is the first game I played too so... but someone here said Kazmir was tuff to hit and I had no problems whatsoever. Didn't have problems with check swing either. Seemed the same to me but this is an earlier build then the guys at the community event played.

Can't wait to try Legend mode.

Off to work
(but i will be reading and responding on iphone regularly)

If All-Star is too easy and you're worried that Legend may be too hard, why not try Hall Of Fame?

He's not joking. It's not really bad but it is noticeable.

Might as well just copy that statement and have it ready to paste Jim - I'm sure you'll be using it again.

Matt Joyce's face doesn't look right.

Just got a double down the line that rolled all the way to the wall. Outfielders still play pretty deep.

yea it has frame rate issues when you play it on 1080p

not as bad as last year but is still there when pitching and hitting

move it to 720p and issue is gone but you lose the sharpness of the 1080p graphics
