Question about Fielder Speed and Reaction in MLB 13

Ramone said there is a greater disparity and separation between average and great fielders. What do you think the sliders will look like for MLB 13?

In MLB 12, I have Fielder Speed at 2 and Fielder Reaction at 7.

Thanks.

Re: Question about Fielder Speed and Reaction in MLB 13

Obviously it's tough to tell just through videos, and I haven't even watched many videos myself, but from the looks of it, this area will need far less attention in '13. I'm pretty much expecting to just leave it at default, personally.

I thought it played just fine at default but I am sure some will want to go extreme.

Thanks Nem

By default, you mean both Fielder Speed/Reaction set to 5?

Re: Question about Fielder Speed and Reaction in MLB 13

In MLB 12, I think I have Fielder Speed at 1 and Fielder Reaction at 0, or the other way around.

It's far too fast on default.

I have more or less the same. I think my reaction is 2ish, and Speed is either 0 or 1.

Re: Question about Fielder Speed and Reaction in MLB 13

Well, now that we all have the game:

I'm finding reaction time dreadfully slow at all four IF spots. Like they're not reacting as a major league ballplayer would. At times they don't react at all. Quicksand on routine grounders. Cheap CPU hits in franchise as a result. I mean, really cheap. Routine grounders, not hot shots. Not accustomed to seeing this.

It's almost as if the "assist" (vs. "auto") on fielding has been toned down to the point that it's barely giving you one.

I play AS level for hit & pitch and decided to crank fielder reaction from default 5 to 7, but still have not seen noticeable improvement.

Anybody else messing with this, and what results have you gotten?

Figured I'd tag this question here. Thanks.

I have bumped fielder reaction to 8 and still feel like the infielder's initial reaction is delayed...feels almost worse than when I had it on 7. This is pertaining to liners, not grounders.
