I'm not trying to convince you NOT to raise Solid Hits, Chef.

Actually, I think you should. I'm just saying .242 isn't THAT bad.

I think the issue is that he has no clue what the 'changes' are, since they haven't been edited into the original post.

I may just have to move to HoF pitching because while .242 isnt terrible I suppose it just doesnt feel right that Albert Pujols can be at the plate and cant do anything with a mistake, belt high fastball. In 2 games the guy is 0/8 with a walk and that was against Kuroda and Lilly, solid pitchers but he had pitches to hit that he just beat into the ground or lofted into the air for easy outs. My two biggest issues are the CPU's hitting and my inability to strike out the CPU as they somehow seem to make contact with way too many pitches that are way out of the zone as chase pitches, they put them into play weakly anyways but I cant get strikeouts to save my life since they rarely swing and miss anymore.

I guess I should also mention that my lack of HR's is annoying as hell but apparently thats just me since everyone else isnt having any trouble with power numbers.

I moved down to Veteran for both hitting and pitching.

Do you think these sliders will still work? Also, I always use regular swing and I'm having a tough time getting contact. Do you guys use circle (contact) swing mostly? I don't get why we have 3 buttons to swing now. I never used power swing last year and just used the other and now I'm confused on what to use.

I'm confused here....

I am reading alot of people saying that they are using zone hitting and not using the left stick to aim at the pitch in the zone. My question to you is doesn't that make you wiff at pitches in the zone if you don't move it to the exact location within the PCI? For example if a fastball is thrown at the knees and you don't move the left stick to the lower portion won't your batter swing above it as it's set to the center of the PCI by default? Someone please explain thanks.

Not necessarily. It depends on the size of the hitter's PCI and how far outside of the PCI the pitch is. Sometimes the hitter can make contact (albeit, weak contact usually) with pitches out of the PCI.

Basically the easiest way to describe it is, the PCI is like the "sweet spot" of the bat. Now think about it, if a pitch comes in at the knees and the batter's PCI is a decent size, then it will probably be hit off the bottom of the bat (ie, into the ground) since it's just below the "sweet spot". Now same applies to high pitches.

Now with pitches to the left/right of the PCI. Say you have a left handed hitter up, and the pitcher throws a pitch to the outside corner of the plate. If you swing and make contact, you are essentially hitting the ball off the end of the bat. With a pitch on the inside part of the plate, you're hitting the ball closer to the handle.

Hope that helps.

anyone think that fielding errors are too high? I have about 2 per game with the Twins and the CPU NEVER has any at all.

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***

Just to clarify, i have raised Solid Hits to 3 for both Hum & CPU, the offense on HOF was just a little light on both sides.

This slight tweak seems to have remedied that.
