2012 OSFM: Arizona Diamondbacks

Hi again everyone, I initially intended to post the Padres and Diamondbacks in just one thread, but I felt it'd be too jumbled or too long of a post for people so I decided to split them up. Like the other thread, feel free to discuss any rosters and such about the Arizona Diamondbacks. The MLB level roster will be spot on, but prospects will get the nod over minor league fodder when necessary (so some AAAA players in Reno will be skipped over for AA or AAA prospects because of the lack of room presented by Non-Roster Invitees):

Currently working on:
- Adding minor league players to replace any NRIs that leave: Done
- Gameplay test AA and AAA (10 games total, 1 for each starter): Done
- Sim statistics test: Done

NEW!
- Keeping track of player movement and updating the spreadsheet to reflect roster and lineup changes.

*The Roster file is ready to be handed off for faces*

Progress:
Player Information - 100% completed.
Player Ratings - 100% completed.
Batting Stances and Pitching Motions - 100% completed.
Player Equipment - 100% completed.
Faces - GreatNorthern47

Google Doc Roster Spreadsheet

You may now see all the players, team lineups and rotation, and potentials on the Google Document Spreadsheet.

Re: 2012 OSFM: Arizona Diamondbacks

I'm thinking about moving up Michael Perez's rating to a B or so. The D'Backs farm system drops off after their three starting pitchers, but I think they do have some hidden gems here and there (obviously not the deepest system).

I'll be making a lot changes to this roster set.

Just some changes to the MLB 25 since I saw a lot of errors on it. This roster is assuming that Stephen Drew is ready opening day.

MLB 25:

Lineup:

vs RHP and LHP (The lineup will pretty much stay the same.)

SS Stephen Drew
2B Aaron Hill
RF Justin Upton
C Miguel Montero
1B Paul Goldschmidt
LF Jason Kubel
CF Chris Young
3B Ryan Roberts

(Kubel DH's, stays in the same slot, Parra in LF batting 9th)

C Henry Blanco
1B Lyle Overbay
INF John McDonald
INF Willie Bloomquist
OF Gerardo Parra

Rotation:
RHP Ian Kennedy
RHP Daniel Hudson
RHP Trevor Cahill
LHP Joe Saunders
RHP Josh Collmenter

Bullpen:
CL J.J. Putz
SU David Hernandez
SU Takashi Saito
MR Craig Breslow
MR Joe Paterson
MR Brad Ziegler
LR Bryan Shaw

For Prospects: Switch Skaggs with Corbin. Blum will be in Reno if Drew is healthy. Everything else looks fine to me.

Oh and here are the pitches Trevor Bauer throws. Really good stuff here.

Re: 2012 OSFM: Arizona Diamondbacks

Thanks for the feedback. The D'Backs lineup is a bit complicated since they have players that can fit just about anywhere. However that lineup you put up makes the most sense, but I'll have to keep tabs during ST where people fall in.

So Corbin will be repeating AA? I figured that since he had almost three times more work put in at AA than Skaggs, that he'd get the nod while Skaggs starts off the year in Mobile, then should get promoted as early as mid-May if he continues to pitch well.

I think their lineup will look like this...

Drew - SS
Hill - 2B
Upton - RF
Kubel - LF
Goldschmidt - 1B
Montero - C
Young - CF
Roberts - 3B

Corbin is most likely headed back to AA. I don't think he proved enough to get a promotion. Skaggs was just toying with AA hitters, sending him back to AA would be pointless. There are many pitchers ahead of Corbin on the depth chart in terms of who gets shots at a ML start. In order: Skaggs, Bauer, Miley, Enright, maybe even Charles Brewer.

Yeah Kubel and Montero are interchangeable. I don't really know where Gibby is going to go with that one. We'll see in ST.
