Was the 2010 game's ratings for Tony Gwynn a glitch?

Sometimes I like to make CAPs of the Legends from past Show games to use in this year's game. They don't look much like who they're supposed to be, since I'm the only one who uses them I'm most concerned with ratings, stance/delivery etc. So I use the ratings from past Show games and I've noticed that the 2010 Show game gave Tony Gwynn what appear to be very low ratings. Just looking at his overall rating, they have him barely as good as current MLB bench players. It's TONY FREAKING GWYNN! Did previous Show games give Gwynn better ratings than 2010? Has anyone else been surprised at the ratings the game gave him?
