Strasburg's 4 pitches

There's been alot of dispute over what he actually throws and the pitches were highlighted during today's game on MASN. I thought these screen shots may help some folks.

Re: Strasburg's 4 pitches

The problem is translating this into the game without a trajectory editor. Most likely his slider/curve is thrown like a curveball because it breaks down like a curveball and the speed off his fastball is curveball speed. I remember one shot during his first start on MLB Network that shown Ivan Rodriguez putting down 2 fingers which is obviously the curveball sign. There is no way to do this but I would use the curveball trajectory and title it slider/curve and it would be 81-84 mph. And the other problem is he throws his changeup around 90 mph. Again there is no way to do this in-game but I would rename the splitter a circle changeup and this would be his changeup.

Thats a curveball grip and that 2 seamer is a one seam sinker grip.

Re: Strasburg's 4 pitches

I gave Strasburg a 4-seam,Sweeping Curve, 2-seam, sinker, and splitter.

I gave him a splitter due to velocity and break.
