I just wanna say...

...after once being a hockey writer for the site, I don't really post on operationsports to often anymore. However, I really wanted to take the time to post how much I love MLB 2k12. Once you find your sliders, this game is just so addicting. I'm playing every game of my season (87 games into season) and just love that you dont know what will happen from game to game. I'll win 7 in a row, then lose 6 of 7. I'll have 24 hits in a game, then the next game I had just 2 hits, both of them homeruns by the same player.

The presentation of stats really helps keep the season fresh and the deeper you get into the season, the commentary becomes relative to the schedule.

Yes, this may be the last MLB 2k game, but bravo to MLB 2k12.

Re: I just wanna say...

I could not agree more. This is far from a game I am settling for. And with the latest patch, as much I I am disappointed that they are ending the series, this game will tide me over until the next gen comes.

Someone will either create rosters for next season or I will just roll on with the franchise I am playing.

I've never had so much fun managing a bullpen and rotation. I've never played a game where player skill meant so much all over the field in a game that I use a controller.

It deserves so much more praise than it got. And yeah, I know all of the reasons it didn't.

I havn't posted here in years either, but I agree this game is vastly underrated. I play all the major sports games and along with nba2k12 , I think this is the best sports game on the 360. The pitcher/batter battles, presentation, feel of the different ball parks and teams, hit variety , ball physics, fantastic commentary, and on and on. In contrary to most peoples dissapointment regarding the patch, I feel it greatly improved the game. All the odd transitions of the infielders are gone and the outfield play and cutoff throws are fixed along with tagging up runners now working correcty. The double play animations are STELLAR . Game is alot of fun its too bad the majority are not playing this game...

Yeah definitely. On PC especially, you can tweak sliders, rosters, uniforms, and some of the nba 2k user shadow mods work really well in mlb 2k12 as well, creating a much prettier game.

I know the death of mlb 2k is virtually engraved, but surely 2k aren't just going to leave themselves with just one sports franchise... let's see whether they pursue a football license or something.

I don't know, sony only puts out the show, so they may be taking that approach it seems. I was thinking of getting this since I liked the demo. I have 2k10 and played the 2k11 demo. 2k12 just captures me though. Gonna see if my buddy wants to go half on the NBA/MLB combo pack and save some cash.

I've been with the other game for a while, but I will say I loved 2k12 as well. Had my franchise not crashed I'd still be playing it.

It was certainly fun while it lasted...

Re: I just wanna say...

I have 2k12 for the ps3 and it has been the only game I have been playing for the last couple months. It is very addicting with the right set of sliders. I am glad that they fixed some fielding issues with the patch because that was one of the only areas of the game that needed a lil help along with baserunning. The hitting and pitching in this game are rediculously fun. This game will be joining all pro 2k8 and college hoops 2k8 in my collection of games that I will probably never get rid of.
