My Player: days off?

Started a my player as a position player.

I have yet to have a game off. I was invited to spring training in season 2 and I have played all 9 innings of every spring game.

Anyone else seeing this?

Re: My Player: days off?

Yeah so far I'm in my 3rd year and I have yet to have a day off, or injury. Really weird but rewarding for me

Yes, and it's rather frustrating. I have played nearly 20 straight games, and so my energy has gone way down to around 60. This makes my stats take a big loss. There should be an option to take a game off.

I have noticed this too and it really takes away from the realism of the game. You almost never see a player in real life play the entire 162 game season without having a few games off. And then on top of that, my SS rated 65 shouldn't be starting over a SS rated in the 80's. C'mon 2k your killin me...

Re: My Player: days off?

I'm a starting pitcher in the Tigers minor leagues (I closed my eyes and just stopped on a random team since there is no draft lol) and sometimes I only get 2-3 days rest and start the game with like 60 energy and get rocked...

Re: My Player: days off?

I would assume that 2k12 is the same, but I'm in year 5 of 2k11's My Player and I'm pretty much going to break Lou Gehrig's mark for games played (can't reach Cal due to the 15-season limitation.)

I, too, think it is weak that there is no "day off" option or whatever. Or in spring training allow yourself to take yourself out of the game after 3-5 innings. (It'd be super cool, but impossible, if they let you leave a spring training game early and then a cut-scene shows you leaving the stadium and making you tee time at a local golf course.)
