I know he had over 200 RBIs the past couple seasons, so he has been productive there, I guess I just don't get how he is rated so highly still. So all that matters is homers and RBIs? Yeah, he might go back to his 09 form, but that's not guaranteed, and it's a grave mistake by 2k12 to assume he would after the past two seasons.
Smh...its well documented that Teixeira is still one of the most feared hitters in baseball. Yes the average his dipped in the last two seasons, but his OBP was still .341 and he slugged .494 with an OPS of .835. Not to mention his HR power is still there, his defense is still there, and his overall production are still there. But I saw a really good piece on the MLB network on Tex's swing the last couple of years and what's going on with his average, and they acknowledged that the Yankees know about this and are working to correct it.

As for Pineda...he was unbelievable last season and anyone who says otherwise didn't pay much attention to the kid's stuff and his starts. The kid was so good in the 1st half of the year and just got burned out in the 2nd half (but was still damn good.) Considering it was his rookie season, I'd say that his production will be more 1st half than 2nd half for the future. Plus, adding him to a Yankees lineup that will actually score for him and give him a chance to compete for a WS...well, look at what happened when Doug Fister (who isn't half the physical talent that Pineda is) went to the Tigers...I'll tell ya what, 8-1 with 1.79 ERA in 11 regular season starts.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that 1 player doesn't make a team. CC Sabathia, Jeter, Mo, Swisher, Gardner, A-Rod, Grandyman, Nova, Ibanez (you don't give him enough credit), Tex, Robertson, Soriano, Chamberlain, Pineda, Martin, etc. That team is damn good and pretty stacked and saying otherwise is just plain ignorant

my problem with that list is where IS D-Rob?
Hughes is a better reliever? Ratings are always subjective [and fun to discuss if it doesnt get heated], but how is Robertson not in the top list there?
Hes practically better than the entire Mets Middle relief core [fact].

Once he proves 2011 wasn't a complete fluke, he may be on there.

thats horrible logic. lol

thats not how rating system works.
hes played well his whole career and last year put him on another level.
before last year he could be argued into being on that list.

A good # of the pitcher's on that list also haven't pitched more than 1 or 2 seasons.

Robertson arguably was 1 of the BEST Set-Up men in the game last year
