Calling Up Minor League Players

I have had an issue in my franchises where I can't call up one or two players from the minors starting in year 2. Thought the patch would help but it didn't - any ways around this? Kind of sucks when its a better player that has to stay in AAA.

Re: Calling Up Minor League Players

I have another question that is probably stupid but anyway:
How can I call up players in my franchise mode? I know that there is a call up/send down icon when I go to GM but I can only call players up when I send a player from my major league roster down beforehand and the minor league roster is full. Any help on this?

You should be able to hit right stick down to change your affiliates to your minor league teams. I think it's RS, it might be LS.

I've had something like this happen. Make sure you have "force trades" on in your franchise. Trade the player to another team, and then trade him right back to your team. Then it should let you move him.

Where those players on rehab assignments before (or chronically injured with a green +)? I know a few of us had issues of players coming off injuries not being able to called back up unless you let the CPU optimize your roster, in which case you could adjust it freely afterwards.

I haven't had that issue with any other players besides that.

Also note, if you are using a PC the LC and RC buttons won't be set up by default on your controller (at least they weren't on mine). Just go into your controller settings, under hitting set up the LC and RC buttons correctly and voila - it works in the menu's as well.
