Video Card Advice...

Yeah...so I am a total nood when it comes to PC gaming...I am looking for some video card advice when it comes to MLB 2k11...I picked up a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5670 512MB video card. Do you think this will get the job done? Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Re: Video Card Advice...

Reviews for it are decent -- good, basic card that provides passable performance. The ram and processor are also important. In fact, there's a thread on MVP Mods about some people having serious trouble with simming due to lack of processor power. Just something to maybe check out.

Re: Video Card Advice...

jburger, your specs are more than enough to run this game. Should have no problems.

Thanks peogone...I figured my processor and memory specs were adequate to run the game...so I am guessing my current video is the issue...I actually have a 1gb card now - it's an ASUS Nvidia GeForce gt 430 - It will run the game fine, but every inning or so it will blip and lose signal and when the signal comes back the game is on the paused menu...and there is no sound. I am using an HDMI wire for sound and video..going to my TV...From my research it is my current video card...so I am hoping this new video card will solve the problem...unless I can figure out the issue with my current card and save the money from the new one.

Re: Video Card Advice...

Is it an Asus tower you have? I heard they often use integrated cards, which aren't that good. (Nice way of saying they're crap!)

I use the same setup from my laptop to an external monitor. I've had no issues using an HDMI cable, so that can't be the problem.
