In Previous versions was the arrow put up on the wall when you hit a HR like in 2k10.
This really kills the excitement of hitting a homer as it gives it away every time.
I've heard 2k7 is a good alternative but does it have the above also?

Not all of my homers have had the arrow. It's so inconsistent though. Last year I only remember it being on there for when you're on defense but this year I haven't seen it once on defence, which pisses me off when a ball barely goes over the wall and I have no idea I have a remote chance of making a play on it. This game really isn't the best but it will do. I wish Konami would make a MLB game whenever this exclusive license is over, I would buy the Japanese league game they make but I wouldn't even know where to begin and it would just be to irritating to figure out. Videos of it are awesome though.

Every single 2K Baseball game I've played has had the arrow. Now there a few times that the ball just barley makes it over the wall without the arrow, but it's pretty rare to see that happen.

I agree. The arrow totally spoils it and kills all the excitement of a HR.
