Can you turn off "Guess Pitch"?

I call it Guess Pitch because that's the only way I can describe it. It's the thing that tells you which pitch is about to be thrown. It happens right before the pitcher is about to throw the pitch. It also shows you the location if you look closely.

Anyways, I don't like it. I know some will say it adds realism because some batters see some pitches well, but if that was the case then they should show it AFTER the pitcher throws the pitch, not before.

What I'm wondering is: can this be turned off? Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, turn off the strike zone and it disables this completely. There may be another way, but this is how I do it because I like to remove all the visual distractions and it gives it a more realistic feel.

Wow, really? That makes it go away?

Question though: does turning off the strike zone turn it off on both pitching & hitting? Or will I still have it when I'm pitching?

I believe it turns if off for pitching too, which I kind of like because it makes pitching slightly more challenging, and again it gives the game a more realistic feel. You'll still get the controller vibration when you move the pitching cursor outside of the zone, so you'll still have that to go by as well.

Re: Can you turn off "Guess Pitch"?

its a must to have on for online play thats for damned sure. I think thats what its mostlly for. Even then though, alot of the times the pitch will tell you its going to be high and its like way outside. lol

Its not 100 percent accurate thats for sure.

Or you can edit everyone's 'eye' ratings to 0.

You need to turn off "Batters Eye" option also, or you will still have the colored balls in the strike zone, which tips off pitch type.

It's off by default.
