Major League Baseball 2K9 Video: Pirates @ Rockies End of Game

In my absolutely honest opinion this looks and feels no better than 2K7, and thats from someone who desperately wants to see two great baseball games each year in order to push each other.

Lets put it this way...you can really tell its VC's first attempt at Baseball.

Bingo, that is it. The thing that sucks is it does not run so smooth in the cut screens, but I think I can live with that. I do like that real time. Next year I hope they fixed that and get better faces.

I think that's called "hit and run". You know, make a negative comment then scatter before someone calls you on it. IMO what we have seen so far is leaps and bounds better than 2k7/8. It blows them both out of the water.

Best thing in that video...during the endgame highlights there wasn't any of that awful lag/chugging that has existed the last 2 years. Because of that video i'm now 100% positive there is no lag in the game

The faces and player textures look very PS2-ish, and to me it just doesnt give off a "feel" of Baseball, i know its hard to convey that from watching videos but thats how i see it.

I played 2K7 a lot and the graphics in that game were a landmark for Baseball games, to me it looked better than these 2K9 vids do.

No doubt this game will be a million times better than 2K8 (it would have been impossible to get any worse really) but i really see this as a very experimental first stab at Baseball from VC, that said....there is a lot of potential in there and i would hope in the next 2/3 years VC can bring that out and fine tune it.
