The menu system in nba 2k9 ( to me at least ) was very user friendly, and never got tedious. I spend a lot of time just tinkering with my team of 12-15 guys, just imagine being able to do that with your big league and minor league squads... Im starting to get very excited.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that in NBA 2K9 you could click on the NBA league pass logo in the same location on its menu and it would bring up the games scheduled for that particular day.

That might be the reason for that icon there, because in NBA 2K9 other than toggling the panes similar to the menu above, the only other way to see your schedule of games was via "Sim Central" which listed your games in a weekly format - there was no menu of a picture of an entire month's schedule.

So if we can in fact play any game we want to on the schedule I'd imagine you'd do that by clicking on that MLB.tv logo for the games scheduled for that day.

spot on... Im curious to know how this menu system will work in a baseball game, For basketball it really was streamlined...

It also appears the pitch icon is so big, compared to the view, that pinpointing pitches will be easier said than done. March 3rd can't get here fast enough.

I love the stamina/composure meters and the pitch count info right there like that. Presented much better than in years past.

Game sounds great, color me impressed and excited. One thing that has me concerned is the potential ease of homeruns and extra-base hits. We've already had a few people say they were jacking homers out and this dude hit a homer with Rowand third batter of the game. I hope they didn't make hitting too easy.

I like that pitcher view as well, but I'd like to see better use made of the 16x9 screen. I'd like to see some of those graphics moved to the far sides of the screen instead of them being restricted to the 4x3 "safe" area.

I like the angle too. But the pitch type overlay just looks too big. The information is good, it's just the style I guess that looks odd. For instance, the the Stamina and Composure meters.

The crowd does look better, IMO.

A few other things I noticed:

They have changed the R-Stick gesture for the 2-seam FB. The little gesture diagram shows Position 1 at 12:00, then position 2 circle down right to 3:00. Last year it was Position 1 down to 6:00, then up to the right at an angle to like 2:00 right? The other gestures look the same here though. I wonder how they are going to show your gesture "score" after each pitch (or if they will even do that with the new 2-step process).

It also looks like we don't have the base path overlay this time, replaced with the small diamond graphic in the lower right.

I don't see the batter stats under the score/display bar at the top of the screen. It could be that it's turned off, I think that was an option last year.

But overall looks like they are making some good changes to the game (I hope the grass looks better in a real game though).

Let's see some real gameplay!
