Cool Camera Shots

For you guys that have played previous versions and know a little about this years versions

Can you bat from the pitcher view? I want the CPU and USER to always be using the pitcher/tv style view? Is it possible in 2k baseball?

I hate having to bat from behind the plate. I would rather just view the game like a TV style presentation throughout.

Thanks for the info!

Re: Camera Shots

Wouldn't that be kind of tricky to hit the ball from that view?

Last time I played a game where I hit from that view: Bases Loaded 2 for the original NES, but it was ok in that game since the ball floated to the plate at about 40 MPH

Re: Camera Shots

No word on whether or not you can for 2K9. I know you couldn't in 2K7 and I'm pretty sure it was the same in 2K8.

I switched to that view from time to time in The Show just to mix it up a bit. It would be nice to have as an option in this game as well.

Re: Camera Shots

One thing that's kind of cheap as a batter using that view is that you can see where the catcher is setting up

Actually in that view the catcher doesn't set anywhere but in the middle and adjusts as the pitch comes in. I promise if you are watching that, you'll not be hitting too well...lol

Re: Camera Shots

I thought it actually was an option in 2K8, but I could be mistaken. If I recall correctly, I was frustrated with the batting camera, and tried that one for a while. But I could be thinking of another game.

Re: Camera Shots

I haven't heard anything but i know that they adjusted the camera angle when batting so there's no angle like past years.
