Why do folks turn the composure slider down so low?

I've noticed that in the big three slider sets (Joe's, Blazzen's, and Mkharsh's), pitcher composure influence has been turned way down. What's the reason for this?

I played several games at default All Star recently, where this slider is up in the 40s or so, and I thought it made a realistic contribution to the game. If you give up several hits in a row, you better call that catcher out to calm your guy down.

With the major slider sets as-is, that aspect of the game has been eliminated. Pitchers don't get visibly shaken and there's no need to call the catcher out except to buy a little time for relievers to warm up. That doesn't seem all that realistic to me.

Thoughts?

Trojan, that slider is over-done IMO. Pitchers were getting rattled too quickly. Mound visit's worked but if you continued to get hit, the game would get outta hand quickly.

I've personally never liked the slider, hence why I lowered it in my slider set. Pitcher's rarely get rattled when a couple of batter's get on base, especially Front-Line veteran starters

Agree 100%, and on the flip side putting the CPU to 0 composure does not allow me to think any hits I get are cheap.

I have found that 15 has been a pretty good number for USER composure. You still get rattled, but it is much more contained to later innings and larger threats.

I might go up a bit. I like the effect, but I agree with most that it is kind of overdone.

I may try this because I do want to preserve the element of needing to call the catcher out to calm the pitcher down. That's just a part of baseball. I can see how folks would think it's overdone at All Star default, though; guys get rattled after 3 base hits.

I have this slider set at 30. i think it still give you a realistic assumption of a pitcher getting rattled. plus it helps with throwing more balls in sticky situations.

Like said above, it's blown out of proportion. You will eventually feel powerless. To each their own, but I share the approach of other slider creators here: the lower the better...
