Holy Grail of Sliders for MLB 2k10

I've been doing slider sets for MLB 2K since 2K7. Baseball is my favorite sport so it's important for me to get realism along with a few surprises when tinkering with sliders.

Goals:

-Realistic results but with the occasional bizarre game or season stat)
-Fun gameplay that keeps drawing me back to play the game
-Realistic rate of walks/pitch counts/foul balls/and extra base hits
-Achieving these goals with classic hitting as I don't care for the swing stick

SETTINGS: all default except

Hitting: Classic
Pitching: Total Control
Pitcher Fatigue: 40 (CPU pulling starters too early-changed 7-1)
Breakpoint Aim
Catcher Suggestion: ON
Hitters Eye: ON
Strike Zone: OFF

Hitting Cam 1: Zoom 3 Height 5 or 6
Pitcher Cam: depends on stadium (kotaku's TV cams)


USER/CPU

BATTING

Batting contact 45/45
Batting Power 100/100 (I'm better at pitching now)
Bunt Contact 55/55 (MLB players should be good at bunting)
Bunt Success 50/50

PITCHING

Pitch Meter Speed 50 (some may find this too easy, feel free to increase)
Pitch Speed 65
Pitch Break Influence 100 (wanted more break on pitches)
Pitcher Composure Influence 50/50

AI Pitch Success 75 (trying to make CPU give up less hits)
AI Strike Zone Tendency 35 (-5)

FIELDING

Fielder Speed 40/30 (Animations smoother -10, if you get too many hits, raise speed)
Throw Meter Influence 5 (have seen some high and offline throws causing errors)

RUNNING

Base Runner Speed 65
Catcher Throw-Out Success 55

AI Hit n Run 90 (CPU doesn't do this enough)
AI Sac Bunt 100 (trying to get CPU pitchers to bunt more often)
AI Sqeeze 45
AI Base Running Aggression 90 (enjoy CPU trying to take an extra base)
AI Steal 65 (enjoy CPU trying to steal occasionally)
AI Steal Success 50

I'm gonna give these a shot. I use classic hitting and Ive been having a problem with hitting HR's even with people like Pujols and Arod. I might put these in a play some spring training games tonight, if I can put down My Player...lol.

I remember your set from last year, I will give these a shot tonight.
I have yet to use classic hitting but I am not liking stick hitting so far this year.
What roster set are you using that has Alonso and Frazier for the Reds???
I am playing a whole season with the Reds and would love some rosters that had their prospects names. Do you have Chapman too??

How are you doing with hit variety? seems everything i hit is a weap blooper into centerfielder or a grounder up the middle, no hit variety at all.

I am using the Living Rosters from MLB Today loaded into my franchise with the exception of signing Joe Crede to play 3B. Don't know much about the Reds players (as if they are real guys or not). I just know this Alonso guy is kicking my a** lol.

Hit variety is very important to me and one of the goals of these sliders. I have seen fading shot down the line, doubles in the gap, triples in the corner, a monster foul ball off the facade in left field (see picture). You can't really see the ball, but it went off the brick where the Reds have their pennants.

No I didn't edit any names. I don't even know who the Reds have in real life. Votto is in Triple A for some reason.

This is a pretty decent set of sliders, in fact this is the set I am going to use in my season.
Using this set last night was the first time I have ever used classic hitting with a 2k game.
I loved it, the hitting variety is great. I actually had 5 extra base hits the first game I played.
Below are the two games I played.
Game 1
Cincy 6 LAD 4
I had 11 hits and acually hit 2 hrs!(Rolen, Hernandez)
The Dodgers had 12 hits and 1 hr(Either)
It was nice to be able to hit a ball hard for once.

Game 2
Cincy 3 LAA 4
I had 8 hits and 1 hr (Votto) I also hit 3 2bs.
The Angels had 13 hits and 1 hr (Napoli)
The game was tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the 9th when the Halos loaded the bases with no one out. I then struck out 2 batters but Hendrick lined a single up the middle to win the game.

Again this sliders have a great feel to them and I am really digging the classic hitting!

By the way I have no idea how you rosters have Alonso named, I downloaded the latest living rosters last night and he was not on them. He has never appeared in a MLB game so I dont know how his name could be in the game yet.
