Kinda sorta fix to passing sim stats

hi i found a little sorta kinda fix to the passing sim stats, so far i have gotten 10 qbs to pass over a 60% completion percentage, with the leader being peyton with 70%. Drew, Russell and Ryan have 67, Eli, Colin, Griffin,Rodgers,Luck, Brady and Vick go from 60-64. It also helped with the passing yards and td to int also as 9 qbs went for 4000+ yards and none threw for more than 20 ints.

What i did was put increase all the qbs toughness and stamina to 99 and then i increased their confidence and consistency to 5. Im sure if i mess with some other traits for the lesser qbs i can get some better numbers, i just thought id share.

This could be a huge factor in me buying this game, hope others can confirm this.

That's cool. Right about where it should be.

If I understand it correctly, however, you can only modify the roster at one time and that is prior to starting a CFM. After that, you would have a slow erosion back to the starting point right?

This is certainly better than the current state of affairs. Hopefully someone at EA will catch wind of this and fix the rosters and draft classes going forward.

Good stuff.

Re: Kinda sorta fix to passing sim stats

Sim stats has been a sore point for some time now. I hope they fix with first patch.

Re: Kinda sorta fix to passing sim stats

Please continue to test and post your results. For example, does it work multiple seasons in, or only for the first season? Is it true that you can only edit players before starting a CFM? From what I read, I thought you could do it in between seasons as well.

The poor sim stats are the reason that I do not yet own the game and it's killing me not being able to get my football fix. If this actually works on a consistent basis, I'll finally be able to get on board.

Thanks in advance

If their toughness and stamina are both at 99 wouldnt that mean that they'd never get injured?

That would make it even more unrealistic than the poor stats.

I'm in the same boat. Don't want to buy it just to play my cousin in head to head games.

I tried this on the top ten rated quarterbacks in the game and though there was some promising results (Peyton Manning threw for 5000+ yards, 48 TDs, 8 INTs, with a 70% completion rate) overall throwing yards were still too low. Only two other quarterbacks had more than 4000 yards passing. The only thing I changed was that I bumped up the injury rating for each QB to 99. Completion percentages were okay as they hovered around the mid-60's among the elite quarterbacks as well as the TD to INT ratio which were around 30-15 (which may be okay for very good QBs like Stafford and Luck, but not great ones like Brees and Rodgers.)

So upon further digging to see why the passing yards and TDs were muted, I discovered that the backup QBs were seeing too much playing time. Though Brees played all 16 games, his backup also played 16 games. I'm guessing though Brees missed no gamedays, he must have been knocked out for a quarter or two which meant that he wasn't getting the usual reps that constituted his monstrous numbers the past couple of years. The same applied to Brady who also played all 16 games along with Mallet. And this is after bumping up the injury ratings.

So I'm up in the air about this. I'm hoping that the latest roster update did some under the hood tinkering that will generate more true-to-life stats.
