Things Madden should get rid of

Here at OS we always talk about stuff we wish for in Madden. But what about the unecessary features in the game. Time spent on development that could have been spent else where.

1. I hate the inital movement for you when u are the user. It irks me so much that if i user a blitzing/zone LB ir DB the game initiate the play for u. Too many times i was put out of position because that. Let me decide EA. We kno how to read play art EA. So let us decide

2. EA Remove penalty sliders. This is football. Its a either a PI, a hold, roughing etc.. Besides they never work anyways. Take it off until u guys figure how to get it right.

3. QB evade. Its not useful. Never saw anyone ever use it

4. Laterals. Man are they terribly implemented in this series.

5. This may stir things up but Ultimate Team or Madden Moments must go. I guess some people play this. I dont know who. Atleast over 10 people i kno that play Madden. None of my boys play those games. And my gaming circle consists of casual/sim gamers

6. Ratings

7. Gameflow

Ratings?

And Ultimate Team?

Are you...serious?

You'll never see Ultimate Team go away.

1. It makes EA a ton of money.
2. A ton of people enjoy the aspect of the game.
3. Just because you and your "boys" don't like it doesn't mean it isn't a big time feature that many people use.

I should say Ovr Ratings. I can make Jake Locker look like Peyton. That should not be. No matter how good my stick skills are.

Confused on the Gameflow one. So you want to remove a feature that allows a gamer who knows nothing about football to pick up and play the game?

Gameflow is a necessity for your average joe gamer. Also you can choose to not use it yourself because they give you that option.

Actually I think gameflow is just the opposite of this. There is no play art to look at and you have no idea what you've called. If I'm a newbie and I see PA Boot screen, I'm gonna have no idea what that means lol. Is it a run or a pass? Furthermore have you seen the play art on that play? lmao. They're gonna be lost for sure. I really don't think gameflow is for newbs. Hell, I have trouble sometimes reading it and I've been playing Madden for years. Having said that, I don't think it should go. If you set up your gameplan, it really comes in handy and speeds the game up. It's just a different way to play the same game and nothings wrong with that. You can never go wrong with options.

As for the OP's question, I agree with the initial movements part. As long as my cursor is on a guy, I should have full control of him or at least have an option where I can decide whether I want full control or cpu assisted control. I also agree with the ratings part. I definitely think they should be hidden and each player just has a general letter grade. Some other things I'd like to be removed are:

- The LOS position on the depth chart.
It does nothing because you can literally put anyone there and there will be no consequences for having a low rated player there.

- The hit stick.
A player should hit hard because he's a hard hitter. I shouldn't be able to make a CB or other non-hard hitting player hit hard just because I flick the analog stick.

- Run Commit.
I need to clarify this. I don't like it the way it's implemented. I do like the idea of being able to tell your players to watch out for the run. I don't like them turning into mindless drones because I hit run commit.

That's all I can think of now, but I'm sure there would be more if I thought longer lol.

Ultimate team needs to go because it's a money grab for EA.
