Oldie but newbie question

After a few years away from the franchise, picked up Madden yesterday for my son. Looked up & down menu and couldn't find anything that resembled the traditional "Play Season" mode. Use to like to play different games during each week of the season.

Is it no longer offered in the package or is it still in the game but under a different name/section? Thx in advance for the help.

If you select Connected Franchise Mode, and use either an owner or coach, it should be just like a season mode where you can play the games.
