Issues With M25 (The Little Things)

Madden has been making football games for 25 years! With sport counterparts MLB: The Show and NBA 2K series both making great quality sim games for their respective sport, why should be expect anything less from the Madden series. It is the little things that make this game stale and not realistic to the real-life thing.

1. I should be able to run a hurry up offense, despite the ball going out of bounds or incomplete pass.

2. When running the hurry up offense, they should have adopted the NCAA 14 hurry offense system where it brings up the playbook with only the formations of the personnel you have on the field. Instead, I can only do my best by setting my audibles up correctly.

3. The commentary is still stale, lack of overall presentation. The pre-game video about the history is a nice touch and a step in the right direction but again Madden fans, NFL 2K still blows Madden out of the water with realistic pre-game, halftime, post-game shows as well as a weekly ESPN broadcast highlighting each game each week.

4. When changing a defense from a 3-4 to a 4-3, they STILL only show that I am starting 3 defensive linemen. How can this just be overseen??? Joke.

To say that there just isn't enough resources to do the things listed above is a lie. And I only listed just a few things that need to be corrected, there are plenty more. Until consumers stop buying this below average product, or until the NFL license is not exclusively EA's, EA will keep putting out a below-average product because they know it will sell no matter what.

I completely disagree with adding in the NCAA no huddle system. I wouldn't buy the game as you'd see people just non-stop no huddling up and down the field - I'm sorry but the game doesn't play like the NFL already - last thing we need to do is make it NCAA 14 v2

You like the college system - Play the college game where it's more prevalent.

It's just a prevalent in the NFL anymore and it would be a fantastic addition.

I disagree 100% with #1. In real life, teams don't hurry to the line after incomplete passes. That is an exploit to the game which I am glad was removed for Madden.

#2 would be a great addition and should be in the game anyways if an NFL team does go no huddle they should and realistically do have access to the entire playbook as long as they have the proper personnel on the field for that set of plays. Im not worried about people abusing it online because honestly I would rather have my fingernails pulled off than take part in the glitching chees factory that is online ranked and most of the time unranked matches. I play sim vs the AI so it would be a nice addition for me when I need to realistically run the hurry up in the 2 minute drill.

I agree that Madden does need to work on the little things, but the reasons you listed are the least of the little things.

How bout players individuality (would love to see Steve Smith get up in defenders face after he catches a ball)

wr/db interactions, 3000 new animations including tons of new catch animations

Much improved a.i.

Add the baseball field back in Oakland's stadium in the summer

players going for the strip (didn't they have this in the game before what happened?).

celebrations with no cut scenes

a more challenging and kicking system and

custom cameras to start.

what's wrong with his response? I agree with him, and even if I didn't there's nothing wrong with what he said. I think Batum has been a good user here.

As far as the no huddling thing, I like how it is on Madden. If it was like NCAA, people would no huddle after EVERY play. It gets ridiculous after a while. I know teams run their offenses through no huddle, but when it comes to gaming, the Madden one is better. Now if you start completing passes and running the ball effectively while doing the no huddle, then that's fine. But after an incompletion is just annoying.
