Haha same, I didn't play Madden 11 much, but I never even knew that existed.

I find the loading screens interesting. On one hand there is the idea nostalgic idea of detailing past features. However there is also that feeling of seeing good features and thinking why did they ever take that out.

the worse time to have to deal invisible players is when it is the Safeties. and you think you have your WR a step ahead of the CB.

I thought for sure I had deep ball for a TD late in the game to win it, but no...ball looked like it juggled before reaching my WR and next thing you know the camera rotated around lol.

Nol, im average and I haven't bought Madden since 2009, Madden 10 was the last Madden I bought. And I still can get on this game and smash the cpu on All-Pro without missing a step.

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)

Just played 2 games with my buddy, first time not playing against the CPU. Both games were defensive games w/ me losing the first game 17-7 and winning the 2nd game 20-3. Defense felt really good at all levels. We were both able to generate good pass rush, LB's were playing zone coverage fairly decently, and the secondary was making a lot of plays and contesting passes left and right.

We both really struggled to run the ball besides a 55 yard run I had w/ Russ Wilson. The RB's really feel slow when they first get the ball and don't seem to accelerate at all. Anybody else noticing this?

Playing on all pro default. 360 version. Played the frist 4 games using gameflow but have since gone to conventional because I wasn't feeling as immersed not calling my own plays.

I'm playing the game trying to win each game and doing things that have worked for me in the past. The cpu is definately a lot smarter. Sometimes I get that feeling like i want more of a challenge and the game is getting away from the cpu, but there is definate improvement. Time of possession and statistics seem to be very fair each game. Lack of penalties although i did get called for a roughing the passer penalty realistically last game. The CPU still doesn't punt the ball with much accuracy. Would still love to see special teams have more of an impact as far as blocked punts and field goals. I've seen the late game AI issues but i've also seen some really good games. Only really blew the cpu out once and it was 35-17 and still a pretty close game.

Coverages can still leave guys wide open at times but i don't feel cheated nearly as much. The camera in the demo is too zoomed out and replays can be a bit wonky at times with the camera.

The game is not perfect but it's the best madden to date for sure imo... I've been playing Madden since way back in the day since day 1 actually. I'm very good at running the ball and playing efficient passing the ball and defensively.

OVerall players move much more realistically and the games play well enough.

Will be buying this years version. Still gives that feeling of close to being really great though. I think the game is somewhat of a simulation. It just has some warts but they aren't nearly as glaring as years past. Last years version was so bad in comparison imo. IE was a mess and the AI flaws were everywhere.

Overall it has that madden fun factor with just better games and graphics. I would not say past years games were good. This years game is actually pretty good. Wishful thinking but hopefully EA can iron out some of these issues for the full release.
I spoke too soon. Just rushed for 400 yards calling the same play over and over. The cpu was dumbfounded. Never adjusted.

The problem with Madden is it doesnt reward being intelligent. I was having fun with the game decided to delve into it a bit more and looked up who my best lineman was and decided to run behind him thinking thats a good idea. Nothing a good logical coach wouldn't do.

Started off innocent enough. Called a few running plays started noticing the cpu wasn't adjusting. Just kept calling it.

Game broken.

For what it's worth, I was watching a YouTube video of the demo of one of the guys who attended the July community event and he said the demo is an extremely old build from around March and the last one he played was loads better than this

Re: Madden NFL 25 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions (360, PS3)

thing is they aren't going to fix this stuff. I remember nba 2k8 found similar things that people tried to damage control. 2k13 fixed a lot of those issues 5 years later, but it's stuff like this that its like why call something when i know i can get a sure first down every play. It's not really cheese. It's just a broken game. I don't go out there intentionally trying to cheese. I was just trying to delve further into the game and was thinking like a good coach would. This is the lack of depth that is really unacceptable these days. The cpu doesn't adjust. That's a lack of depth with the AI and just a poorly programmed game. Other games adjust. I don't understand why EA can't figure this stuff out. It took me 9 games to find this. Why can't EA test their own games and program accordingly?
