How do I retire a player and start a coach in the same ccm?

Trying to simulate the first season as an Undrafted qb and then start a coach ccm as the worst record wise team in the league.

How do I do this?

Simple, just select your player, sim to start of playoffs. Retire and it gives you the option to end career or start a new char. Select coach, select team, execute.

Please note that from what little i have paid attention coach firings come both after week 17 and start of offseason. Just saying you may run the risk of being fired off the bat if you choose active coach. Logic says the game shouldn't do that to you, EA's record says it will 100% of time.
