CCM Simulated Stats - Fix Them Please

The new title update #3 may make for many improvements in the game play, but it will all be sadly meaningless unless the CCM simulated stats are corrected along with it.

Scores that are abhorrently high (relative to NFL averages) due to far too many plays being run is the norm in what we see in CCM right now.

It will be nearly impossible to have a realistic and relevant CCM experience with stats that correlate and are meaningful with respect to the rest of the league unless this is addressed. Basically it will ensure that you are somewhere very close to the #32 ranked offense and #1 ranked defense year after year, regardless of your team development/regression.

I don't know how this gets broken from last year to now (Madden 12 sim stats, while not perfect, were mostly reasonable), but there has been no word about fixing them to this point.

I hope this issue gets EA's attention soon, or the title update #3 features we are all looking forward to will be largely pointless.

And at least in M12, you could do 32 team control to set coaching sliders and such so you have a touch more control over the sim stats (you can set all the "running the team" stuff to CPU and just mess with coaching sliders for the other teams).

Now that you can't control all teams, we need sliders to customize the output of the league stats, a la OOTP's league totals and such that give you DIRECT and SIGNIFICANT control over the sim engine even more than before. (I'm no OOTP fanboy, but in terms of customizing, I've yet to see a sports game beat it - should be the standard for all the stuff you can mess with)

At least then, if EA's efforts aren't exact or you simply want to recreate another era of the NFL/AFL you could.

This is a big problem

I started 5 CCM and all of them at week 5 have 5 RBīs with at least 1000yards

Please fix this

I nearly passed out after reading this. I just recently got this game and haven't gotten into CCM yet, primarily due to what everyone is saying about the AI. While the playcalling logic and AI difficulty are bigger issues, this one moves us into the completely absurd. A thousand yards after five weeks? Five different backs through the SIM engine?

Say it isn't so...*smacks forehead*

Yeah I was pretty disappointed this wasn't fixed.

Every time you sim a game there ends up being like 90+ plays per team. That means each time you sim a game there will be close to 200 snaps. Obviously this leads to inflated stats because in real life it's more like 60-65 plays per team, totaling around 120-130.

What's even more annoying is the number of plays in the sim engine was perfectly fine last year... I don't know how they could have messed this up.

I'm still holding off on purchasing until this patch comes out. But I'm not hopeful this will be fixed. If this isn't fixed I don't see the point in buying or doing a CCM.

How is one supposed to enjoy a CCM when stats in simulated games are comically un-realistic?

Its pretty sad that ea said they built the sim engine from the ground up for madden 13. Its also sad that hardly anyone is talking about it. These threads are created like every 3 days but then disappears. Its like no one cares about realistic stats. Seems like everyone will start complaining to late.

LOL I assumed that since there were few complaints that it wasn't a problem. This is huge.

A man get's dressed for his wedding. He has an expensive suit, brand-new haircut, the best shoes money can buy, and lots of enthusiasm. What a great looking guy, everyone thinks.

And when he gets to the alter, his bride sees a great big glob of snot running down his lip. What does she notice, now?

If you can't take care of the little things, bells and whistles mean nothing.

I have another thread titled "Title update #3 missing/ambiguous items list" that includes this simulated stat problem along with 20 plus other items (I believe it's number 11 on the list).

Emmdotfrisk (EA rep) posted in that thread (page 6) that he would jump back in and answer the listed questions (all updated on page 1) shortly.

I am looking forward to his responses. particularly with regard to this specific item. Perhaps he can put us at ease with some much needed good news regarding the stats.
