So we've got a couple people in my online CCM who traded for players on their last year of the contract.

Neither of these 2 players showed up under their resign options (first step of offseason) and they ended up entering Free Agency, without the new teams being able to negotiate.

So, my questions, if anyone knows are:

1) Is this a game issue, or do some players choose to go directly to Free Agency without Negotiation, if their interest is Very Low.

2) If Team A low balls a player in his last year and he becomes unavailable to negotiate, and then that player is traded to the new team...is the new team screwed because of the lowball offer?

Anyone have any insight?

I traded for Kam Chancellor in his last yr of contract and couldn't negotiate during the season but resigned him before the fa.

Trade for a guy in the last year of a multi year deal....he's probably going straight to fa....

Based on test that I've done recently.

Last year of a single year ...you get they option

BUMP. i traded for Hakeem Nicks in 2013 (last yr of conract) of my online CCM in about week 4-6. he never showed up on my Resign Players list during the season OR Stage 1 of the offseason. in Stage 2, he went straight to FA bidding.

When you trade for a guy in his last year. Cut and resign the player during the year. He will then be eligible for off season resign or franchise tagging.

I've had issues with picking up free agents throughout the year on a one year contract and can't resign them before end of season.

I lost Taylor Mays in my CCM because of this. Kind of irritating, but luckily I was able to draft a stud SS in Rajion Taylor.

What this probably is, is this

Team A has XX player in last year. They attempt to resign him and he rejects. They trade him to Team B whom then has no option to resign player at all, getting the shaft for their trade value.

This would allot for both those able to and unable to resign those in last year because of whether or not the first team offered a new contract. Sometimes they have, sometimes they haven't
