Down to the wire!

I haven't bought Madden since 2009. I'm really debating getting this years game, but I only have money for either Madden or Sleeping Dogs. I have to preorder TODAY if I'm gonna get Madden (Best Buy $20 coupon) because I leave to go out of town this afternoon. If you have the retail version, is it worth purchasing? I've been playing the demo and I'm really split. Bottom line... is the gameplay better than what's in the demo?

Get Madden...I want to get Sleeping Dogs too, but I figure the price on it will drop in no time, so I'm waiting on it

That is true... Madden prices only drop around Black Friday. I hope they do have a price drop on Sleeping Dogs soon.

Re: Down to the wire!

There is a Sleeping Dogs Demo on Steam for those of you with Gaming PCs. I played through it and came away very impressed with the gameplay. I was not impressed with the chase sequences and how you have to tap the button to vault over things. It should have gone the route of Assassin's Creed and you just held a button to go into "Aggressive" mode and you free-run over things automatically.

The story was a alright, didn't get a lot of depth for obvious reasons.

Anyways, as for Madden, I would purchase it over Sleeping Dogs.

Re: Down to the wire!

Can easily answer your question with one of two qualifying questions.

Do you LOVE the NFL?

Do you want a game you can "beat" or one that is never ending?

And here lies my dilemma lol. I love the NFL and despite the flaws I found in the demo... I desperately want to run a CCM with the 49ers.

Okay then. You LOVE the 49ers, and you can play their CCM for 30 years, including playing as any player, or coaching the entire team.

As well as:
Trade
Free agency
Draft
Pre-Season
Player Resurrection
Playoffs
Superbowl
Player Awards
New Infinite Engine
Passing Trajectories
Competing online
XP improvements
Scouting rookies
Finding draft sleepers
Twitter Feeds/Updates
Call plays through Kinect (xbox)
CPU trade proposals, and new Trade block system where you're not limited to 3 teams interested in the said player
49ers home field, smashing the likes of the Seahawks, Cards, and Rams
Developing young players
Team Schemes
Play with your FAVORITE PLAYERS AND TEAMS
BE IMMERSED IN NFL FUN

Etc. . .

What do you get with Sleeping Dogs

RPG that ends and goes through the same things GTA does, and can beat the game and then it's useless. . .

Re: Down to the wire!

How is this a dilemma.. MAN?? Go get Madden 13, play it, love it!

Sports games always carry more replay value in my opinion. Besides, every moment you spend playing some other game is a moment not spent playing Madden. Madden is an annual release, every day closer you get to the next cycle release date, is another dollar lost, on trade in value, or even resell. Always, buy the sports games first my man!
