#3 Maurice Jones-Drew - 94 Overall- Positives- Best pass blocking RB in NFL, leading rusher from last year, been consistent throughout his career, played well on a bad team. Negatives- not elite pass catcher.

#4 Arian Foster - 90 Overall- Positives- two years in the league two years of outstanding production, great ability to make cuts and make people miss. Negatives- pass blocking, not elite power.

#5Matt Forte - 88 Overall-Positives- 3 down player, great reception and running abilities, can pass block. negatives- injury issues, lack of red-zone production

#6 Frank Gore - 88 Overall- Positives-Great power and instinctive runner, highly consistent, good around the goal line. negatives- injuries, not elite speed.

#7LeSean McCoy - 87 Overall- Positives- Game Changer, great speed and elusiveness. Negatives- not every down player, lacks power, only great production one year, not a good pass blocker

#8 Steven Jackson - 86 Overall- Positives- has good speed and great power, good pass blocker. Negatives- declining production, injury issues, losing speed, not elite receiver out of backfield any more.

#9 Michael Turner - 85 Overall- Positives- Good goal line production, best power back in the league. Negatives- not elusive, not 3 down back, not a great pass blocker.

#10 Darren McFadden- 85 Overall- Positives- Game changing ability, best offensive player on team, good combination of elusiveness and power. Negatives- not used in the red-zone, far to injury prone.

How I see it should be.
I like your list a lot but LeSean McCoy has been very consistent.

That spin move looks a bit over powering.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Player Ratings - Top 10 Running Backs

What all the Eagles fans in here don't get is that with the Ravens (and to some extent the Bears) their RB was constituting a much larger part of the offense then with the Eagles. Ray Rice carried the team offensively to the AFC championship, teams were expecting his runs and receiving and yet he still mananged to put up this kind of numbers.

The Ravens last year didn't have nearly the same amount of talent offensively as the eagles (Vick, Djaxx, Maclin) to take a bit of the heat of the RB. This is why Ray Rice should be rated one or two points above McCoy. And I'm not saying Shaddy is not elite mind you.

Basic stats are not everything.

P.S. Oh and the most important stat is still the Wins/Loses one.

P.P.S. Yes I am a Ravens fan.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Player Ratings - Top 10 Running Backs

I agree that it's kinda sad to see 10 so different running backs having exactly the same game on the video (only thing different is the size and jersey color. On the other hand

... I LOVE the speed at which they break their tackles and do other moves. Sure animations look a little wonky but should look much better from the game camera. To me it looks like the RB game took a big step forward!

Now where did I put that asbestos suit ...
