No way of knowing that until they actually get a chance to play.

In 2005 they said Rodgers couldn't run and had no speed, his combine results were bad, But lone behold he can out run some NFL players today.
I can't discuss this with Donny Moore and the Madden ratings "team" so I will with you, lol. Combine data proves that the player is capable of doing those things tested in the time verified. Granted just because someone doesn't run a 4.24 40 doesn't mean they can't but if someone else does, it certainly proves they can. lol

That's my point about verifiable data, it provides scientific evidence for what a player is capable of opposed to conjecture. The whole story should be a combination of all ratings and how they play out on the field together, not using what happens on the field as a basis for ratings in place of available verifiable data.

Not to bite a piece of your last post and throw it in the garbage. But college and the NFL are at 2 completely different speed and difficulty levels. You can be better in one and not the other.

but all in all even though Rg3 and Luck are better overall passers my opinion. than Cam Newton who is a beast and a good passer breaking records pretty solid for a rookie last year. Newton should be at least a 85 or 81 deep throw ball. it will be updated during the season.

You're certainly right about that. If you're fast you're fast, if you're slow you're slow.

The main concern with rookie ratings is they're too high for rookies. Rated higher than a lot of vets. Simpily because they haven't shown anything in the NFL. And until they can backup their successful college careers, they shouldn't be rated as high as they are.

Not saying he should be a 77, just saying McCoy is not better than Brandon Weeden, end of story.

How many of you would play an online game with Colt McCoy starting for the Browns instead of Brandon Weeden, honestly? (silence)
well weeden woulda been lower except they gave him 2 more points on his MUT card he was only rated a 72 but i agree i'd take weeden over mccoy online anytime. i was waiting to see mccoy in low 60's to upper 60's since he didnt do much last yr. i just hope donny dosent over look browns like he did last yr with our defense and offense. gonna be fun with all new players we have to use online and off.

Brady probably has to have a stronger THP to keep his OVR high.
I don't understand why they feel the need to overrate rookies right out of the gate.
