Biggest Offensive and Defensive Threats in M13?

Each edition of Madden NFL seems to, by the design and implementation of the game engine, favor several players on offense and on defense. The most prominent example is the 2004 era Mike Vick dominance that occurred. My question to the community is this: which players on offense and defense will dominate this year's game? Remember that they don't necessarily need to be the highest rated, or suspected highest rated overall to qualify. Obviously we don't know the player ratings yet, but generally with the final M12 roster update we know which range most players will fall into.

Here is my take: (in no particular order)

OFFENSE:

1) LeSean McCoy - With his speed, pass catching abilities, and elusiveness, combined with the new Infinity Physics engine, I see him as being the most valuable running back in the game. The league is a passing league, meaning that having McCoy in the backfield does not give away your play-call. Also with physics hopefully reducing "zig-zag" running, I suspect that those super-agile, elusive players will now be much more noticeable.

2) Calvin Johnson - No surprise here, but looking at his skill-set, an increase in passing, and what I perceive as a lack of current rock-star talent at corner and safety in the league, Calvin Johnson should clean up in this years game, more than ever.

3) RG3 - He will have the ratings of Mike Vick, but I think he will be so valuable for one major reason that no one is talking about. He is right handed! For many, using vick is challenging because you must flip everything including your playcalls, in order to roll left with him and then throw. For most players, who are used to using Right Handed QB's, I think using Vick can be difficult for that reason. RG3 will not have that issue.

DEFENSE:

1) Darrelle Revis - There are only a few ELITE corners right now, and Revis is by far, no contest, the best, and the youngest of them. With Passing on the rise, he will be invaluable, and is sure to be the most valuable defensive player in the game.

2) Jason Pierre-Paul - DISRUPTIVE! If you don't have a shutdown guy like Revis, you need a pass rusher who is in the backfield at the hand-off, and that guy is JPP. Combine this with his age and you get a monster of a player.

3) Demarcus Ware - Although he is getting a little long in the tooth, he most likely will have 1-3 years of dominant play left, with this year being quite possibly his best year yet. He has improved in coverage, but he excels in rushing the passer, and he is disruptive and brutal. I expect close to 20 sacks in real life for him, which should keep his rating up near 99.

Thoughts?

Re: Biggest Offensive and Defensive Threats in M13?

JPP and Demarcus Ware = NOPE unless they fixed the rushing.

Backs ehhh I'd say Ray Rice is right up there with McCoy. Probably will have a higher route running and catch/CIT rating too. Won't have the same speed rating. Won't be too far behind either.

TE's have always been a big part of passing game every year, don't expect that to change.

Yep. Jimmy Graham is going to be a beast in M13.

i agree. i think graham and gronk will be beast. TEs overall should put in some good work. im hoping fred davis will be be my security blanket in washington as he will be paired with cooley unless they release him. On defense its hard to say because i dont know how the DL or LB will play.also on offense look for CJ or randy moss to be explosive. tall and fast usually dominates.

Im curious to see how Manning does and if so with WR like Thomas who is big tall and fast that could be a breakout year. On D I look for an under-rated CB to step it up who has speed and hands. I take DRC who is has 98 speed and 78 catching and 90+man and 70+ zone.

If receiver's go up and get the ball like in the NCAA Football 13 demo, which I think they will, because both games added over 400 catching animation; Calvin Johnson will be unstoppable.
