When does the exclusivitiy deal end?

Not trying to start a flame war, just trying to get info. In fact feel free to lock this as soon as someone has a viable answer.


When does the exclusitivity deal end? I am pretty sure we are at the end of things. I think they got a 1 year extension last year becuase of the strike, but if im not mistaken that just means that the contract ends in 2013. I havent heard anything else about a contract extension. So am I wrong or is 2013 the last Exclusive madden game?

Its been said before that it typically ends as soon as the NFL season is over so the March date might be correct or it may even be earlier in Febuary 2013. This is the closest we've ever been to the exclusive deal ending without an extension, so keep your fingers crossed.

This is why I think EA is doubling their development team and creating a CBS presentation, because 2K was supposidly meeting with the NFL over a year ago and I think the NFL is toying around with the idea of letting 2K possibly make another NFL game.

If 2K makes a game would LOVE to see what they would do with an online franchise mode the first try

I would also love to see what it would do to Madden. I think a lot of the Madden cheerleaders would be really surprised at how much better Madden would magically get.
