2nd year in a row I'm not a big fan of the soundtrack. I mean it's got some good songs like "Architects" by Rise Against and "Bridge Burning" by Foo Fighters, but they seem to be cutting down on the rock songs and increasing the rap. And other than Beastie Boys (who thankfully are in this game) and Outkast, as well as 80s groups like Public Enemy and Run DMC, I can't stand rap... ESPECIALLY LIL WAYNE. That no-talent hack. Between 06-10, each game had upwards to 15-20 rock songs. These past 2 years only had about 6-7. I usually turn off all the rap songs and now I'm stuck hearing the same 6-7 songs over and over

With that aside, which Maddens do you think had the best soundtracks?

i cant recall madden soundtracks i liked. memory aint that good.

but i agree this madden soundtrack sucks. i just play my own music from the PC

Madden 04, to me, had the best soundtrack.

Yellowcard's -Away away
OutKast - Church
Killer Mike -Akshon ...

Jet, Blink 182 ... This soundtrack just sticks out to me so much. Brings back college memories.

Sign of the times......For the kiddies......Lil Wayne, Chirs Brown, etc are hot, their concerts sell out and they always have a song on the top 10 on radio stations. At one point Wayne had 4 songs on the top 10.

But at least you have the opportunity to turn it off. I remember the time you didn't have that option in Madden.

Madden 07 PS2 has at least 9 songs I play regularly on my iPod.

They need to go back to using songs from recent years. I remeber a lot of the songs on the games were from newer bands. NASCAR Thunder 04 used Three Days Grace when they were just coming out.

I think the decay in the playlist quality, is mostly due to a general decay in mainstream music. Rock is dead as far as being mainstream, or at least it is in the Captial district of NY.

I think it was either 04 or 05. A7X, Good Charlotte, Hot Hot Heat, Bon Jovi and a few other good songs.

Still nothing compared to MVP 04 and 05. Still play those songs when playing THE SHOW. Nothing says baseball game than hearing the MVP soundtracks.

Nothing will beat my complete shock when NCAA Football came out with NOFX "Jeff Wears Birkenstocks" one year.

I wish EA would just let us use custom playlists. Enough trying to force it down our throats.

The NHL games allow custom playlists but Madden doesn't. However, NHL usually has fairly good soundtracks haha
