does preseason determine the ratings or potential?
just wondering if a good or bad preseason will effect ratings on rookie players at all? also what is a retail version of the game? didnt know there was two different versions

I'm pretty sure it just reveals the ratings over time. Performance doesn't matter. It just effects who you cut and when.
