Hardly.

Thus, the same game will produce the same weather each time.

We didn't redo the logic this year, only the numbers behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, this cropped up very late and it was the very first thing I worked on way back in January when I got here. Miami is actually set to zero precipitation in September because I was trying everything to get it to stop, but it didn't. I believe it's a bug related to dynamic time-of-day, but I'm not sure.

At any rate, I'm rewriting the system that determines the weather because the old system made zero sense, I just tried to do the best I could with it.
We know it's not exactly pre-determined, but the same game will produce the same weather each time. Okay?

It's believed to be a bug related to dynamic time-of-day, but we don't know for sure. Lol.

No timetable on when this could be fixed or if it is being fixed. Nothing has been said about it since. Rewriting the entire system seems like it could be a while for what is really a game breaking for a lot of people that play franchise.

Hopefully we'll get more info soon.

Has anyone confirmed if the rain glitch carries over into year 2 of the franchise?

In the other thread a guy tested with one of the other glitch teams, the Chiefs, and foun it tails off after the first year and the beginning of the second (like 5 games in)

He went 5 years into franchise btw. Let's hope nothing major pops up so AJ can work on it for the patch.

Re: Somebody Tell EA we don't need no more Rain

Rained on me in all my outdoor preseason games as the Packers (3 of the four games). It did not rain in the season opener but rained in game two at the Panthers. So in five games played outdoors I've seen rain in four of them. That is just plain bad.

The old system worked because we could just restart the game if we didn't want to play in the weather. But now the game is locked in so you're stuck with whatever it decides that week to be. I'm tired of playing in the rain.

EA should have spent a year testing this before putting this game. Seems like a new logic that wasn't tested the way it should have been. Now we're stuck playing in rain too much.

I'm not here defending EA one bit because it's ridiculous how an issue like this creeps in, but to say it's 'hardly' been acknowledged is a bit unfair.

Re: How to stop the rain

I play the Jaguars and have played 6 weeks of the season so far - it has rained in every game!!!

Doesn't matter home or away............Guess EA hates the Jags!!
