Madden Draft Picks: Please Reply

Love for people to provide any knowledge about these 2 questions.

1) Why can't we trade draft picks from future years??

2) Why aren't future draft picks that have already been traded recorded in each installment of Madden? For example, Atlanta just gave up 5 picks for Julio Jones...2 of those being next year, and if I was a Browns fan I would want to have those 2 picks available in Madden.

Great points....I will say that for the point 2 I can do that by controlling all 32 teams and making the trade myself...but it'd be better if it was "in the game".

1) Because it wasn't implemented into the game

2) Same question could be asked for all other sports games (NBA, Hockey, etc.)

Re: Madden Draft Picks: Please Reply

NFL Head Coach 09 had this all! (I'll keep talking about this game because the devs who worked on it did a great job)

Madden's Franchise mode was not set-up for true sim-like NFL Offseason. It's set-up was still based on the PS2/Xbox days. Even though Jeremy Strauser said moving to next gen would create opportunities to have what we were asking for in the game.

He was right, but not until NFLHC09 did we have a true NFL offseason in a EA football game.

Last year (more like Fall of 09) EA said that they were ripping down the build for Franchise mode so they could rebuild it from the ground up. So on May 16th when EA releases the Franchise Mode 1st blog, we'll start to find out about the rebuilt mode.

Josh Looman who worked on NFLHC09 is working on Franchise Mode for Madden 12.
