How do you high step or anything before the touchdown?

On the PS3 you hold circle while inside the 10 yard line.

High step is holding the right stick down. (AP style)

On the 360 it's holding down B within the 10 and with lots of space. I also sometimes use "A" when I'm walking into the end zone. When no one's around it makes it look like a taunt instead of a stiff arm. I don't know if this is intentional on the animator's part or not, but I still use it. That way I don't get a random spin before the goal line if a guy is too close.

Holding the right stick only does the maneuver one time, you have to continuously pull it back and let it up and then pull it back with good timing to actually have a legitimate high step. Pulling back once does a stupid looking high knee for 3 seconds
