Madden 11 1.03 Patch Details (2nd half of September)

Quote:
We are well aware that some of the current high priority issues out there are not yet fully addressed in this title update, so a quick reminder that the turnaround time from the 3rd party approval process is lengthy, and this update basically was completed right
when the demo came out.
As we mentioned in this blog a couple of weeks ago, there is another nice batch of updates and improvements coming right around the corner (see that blog for the prioritized list that we’re looking at). One specific update we’re looking to implement is correcting the QB spy glitch. You can expect this change and others as part of our next patch, which is on track for release in the 2nd half of September.

- Fixing a bug to allow friend invites to ranked games

- Generally making pass defense more effective

- Reducing number of broken tackles

- Fixing user blitz exploit(s)

- Tuning injuries

- Tuning CPU & GameFlow play-calling logic

- Improving play action blocking

- Improving kick return blocking

- Improving online connectivity issues with kick meter lag, media streaming, etc.

- Random stability improvements

- Miscellaneous gameplay balancing (with more coming in title update #3)

I don't understand how it takes that long to put a patch in. When the demo came out is when they sent this patch in for approval? I find that hard to believe. Shortly after modern warfare came out people complained about the dual 87's being too powerful. Didn't take long at all to patch that.

Its just ridiculous that they release a game this unfinished and just expect to patch it over the period of a few months. If they knew about these problems that long ago, push the release date back so you don't have to wait so long for approval for the patches.

NHL 11 released a scheduling update a few days ago that created a huge problem in dynasty mode--they patched it today.

Is there anyway to allow us to edit players body types, face, and skin color in Franchise through a patch?

I hate it when I draft a 230lb RB to see a guy that looks like a kicker!

Or when I have 2 star players that have the exact same face.

About time! Too bad we have to wait until the 27th. So for now, my Madden will only have two elements of the game(offense, defense) instead of three(offense, defense, special teams)

Well like the old saying goes better late then never. I know it seems it's taking them forever. But aleast we know alot of the Gameplay issues will be address in a few weeks. I glad they are tighting up the D gameplay some and hopefully will result in a few more sacks for the user D in franchise mode.
