By far my biggest gripe with the demo. It wasn't nearly that bad at CD and didn't seem to be that bad from the E3 vids. Hopefully, this is an inconclusive build.

I don't talk about gamekillers a whole lot, but that'll ruin the immerision for me. It happens frequently in the demo, or at least on passes that go over the middle I should say. That's what I've noticed.

No comments on the demo for me yet. But just wanted to say it's refreshing to see the comments here v. the EA boards. Over there you have people that created accounts just to bash the demo and don't list pros and cons like here.

Now with that being said I am comparing Madden 10 retail to Madden 11 demo but that's all I have to go on right now. If given the choice between those two though I'd take Madden 10 I think...
Strategy Pad should have been an option. I like it, but still, an option would have been better.

At least there is an option for you to call your own plays or use gameflow. I'm digging gameplanning for now and know I can turn off gameflow.

I don't like the camera, either, hopefully, there is other camera options in the retail.

I feel just the opposite. I'm loving Madden 11 demo vs Madden 10 retail. Locomotion makes a big difference.

overall i enjoyed it..i really didn see any major flaws when i played my first full game..the only thing tht still needs work is probably the offensive linemen. I will say it is MUCH MUCH improved from last year, but still not what it needs to be..overall though i have a feeling im gonna enjoy 11

i like the demo cuz i really like the feel of the game. the running is smoother, tackles animations have improved, FINALLY they figured out sideline catches, graphics a step up (i still havent figured out the best display setting on my ps3, if anyone has suggestions please let me know), you can sack the AI QB...... d pad is different, gameflow is whatever. im always concerned about the gameplay with madden. usually every yr its better but frustrating at the same time. last yr though i think they made a big leap gameplay wise so im hoping this yr is a continuation of gameplay improvements.

+1 the commentary makes it feel more like a real nfl games too. I think the challenge system is broke though cuz some clearly foot on the line catches didn't get overturned.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

Here's the same thing I posted over @ neoGaf

After one and a half games, I saw(and heard) a few things that I liked and a good amount that I (initially) hated:

Gus Johnson is a welcome addition to the commentary. Hammonds sounded like a robot at times while Collinsworth seemed to be doing his own thing. That brings me to my first issue with this DEMO is that is almost seemed as if Collinsworth and Johnson were in two different rooms. I have a decent understanding of how these types of things are recorded but it seems as if it wasn't mixed and both guys sounded like they were in two completely different environments. There were also waaay too much dead air from the commentators and the fans. This was demo code afterall so hopefully this was ironed out in the final build.

To be honest, I didn't bother setting up an offensive strategy and taking full advantage of Gameflow. It felt gimmicky (Passing cone, Madden IQ, Total Player Control...etc) at first. Because I neglected to set up my own strategy, choosing gameflow felt like Ask Coach. When I play through tonight I'll give it a fair shake.

I don't understand why they made changes to the presnap controls. I was one of those players that constantly arranged and hot routed players depending on a situation in case the O or D showed me something I did not expect. My knee jerk reaction was to call it junk, but I think it just needs to be refined a bit more(maybe drop the button press to activate it). I just wish the option was offered to switch back to legacy pre snap controls.

Graphically it looks solid, although I did chuckle at the how it looked like Peyton Manning had his shoulder pads on under his dress suit as he got off of the bus.

Other than that, the Gameplay was right on except for a few minor things that I have yet to adjust to.

i like the zoomed out camera and smaller player models. i think it makes the field feel bigger which was something we needed. just my opinion though
