I just think when your dealing in the public arena all bets are off. I am in public relations for political figures, mostly small time people but they get blasted heavy all the time and when they cry about it I tell em that's the game your in. If you can't handle it go and find a new career. You got to have thick skin. And most of all I tell em to actually listen to the people they are trying to help, that works sometimes.
Then they better start filtering some of my recent posts. lol

Listen I give my feedback both good and bad yet I can do it in an adult manner. EA (Especially at OS) isn't getting protected but quite the contrary. We want everyone to give opinions to make the games better.
Would you like it if someone berated you and said you were lazy and an idiot etc.. for the work you did (especially on a VIDEO GAME)? Or would you rather have someone say "Hey the work you did isn't exactly what we expected. Here's some things I didn't like and would like to see if you could improve on"

Who are you going to be more inclined to listen to?

I totally agree however if the person that I keep giving constructive criticism to blatantly ignores my efforts for years and years it tends to gte a little frustrating. Also think of it this way, if I tell my people all the time do your job listen and account fr everybody's voice and you will find that you can do your job better, however if blatant disregard for the opinions of the people who matter (in this case the fans) is occurring then my actions will be much more stern and aggressive.

I just can't understand why they can't get Chris collinsworth and gus johnson in the same room and record fresh new stuff so it sounds like they are actually together. That kind of stuff insults me and it's been going on for years!

In my opinion this is the best madden since madden 05. I reading and all these people are writing that ncaa is better than madden, ncaa is great and fun but from the demo of madden its exactly what people have been crying about for 4 years. The good players play to that caliber where the weaker players play to their caliber, the deep pass is back, the db's actually blow coverage. When it comes down to the oline blocking people seem think ncaa does this better but to be honest ncaa does this to well. Ive played UCLA vs Alabama and had 100 yrds rushing in the first quarter on heisman with no sliders change. With that being said madden does everything better except for pro-tak and player models.

Also I found the coordinator talk to be amusing and annoying before I found how to turn it off. It sounds if the plan was for someone to learn about football while playing the game. I understand that EA is trying to get more customers, maybe those not familiar with football, but it was so elementary and obvious.

Also I ran the Fake to the FB/Pitch to the HB and the coordinator told me to follow the fullback on the dive up the middle. D'oh.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

  • Is it me or does it seem like the cpu breaks the first tackle almost 75% of the time. I even tuned the broken tackle slider down and they were still breaking the first tackle most of the time. I was playing with the jets and a colts lineman picked up a fumble and broke at least 5 tackles on his way to the endzone.
  • Why does it seem like when the cpu runs the ball their is almost always a hole and if their isnt then 9 times out of 10 the rb will break a tackle and gain at least 4yrds anyway, but when I run the ball their is a defender sitting in the hole waiting for me or I am getting hit right after i get the handoff.
  • Why cant you skip instant replay as soon as it comes up. You either have to watch the whole replay or watch most of it before it lets you skip it
  • I turned off accl. clock but time was still being ran off after every play call
  • I dont see why everyone is complaining about the strategy pad. It is so simple. Yea you will have to get use to it but it should only take about 1 game to and maybe not even that long. Its not like u have to memorize everything about it and every button
  • Out of all teams why did the colts and jets win the fan vote. I know the colts have manning and all but their are far more entertaing teams to use on a demo where you can only play with 2 teams like the saints, chargers, vikings, pats, or even the titans but the colts aginst the jets are justn to boring to play with on a demo for me.

This all came on all-madden diff. but all in all the demo is pretty good. I just hope the brokin tackles are tuned down, and its you can actually have room to run the ball in the retail version. I dont see what eveyone cry and complain about. Would u rather play madden 11 or madden 95. Yea not much changed since madden 10 but 11 is still better.

Impressions:

BAD
1) commentary is horrible (it reminds of what EA did with the Tiger Woods series, they had a decent commentary then completely changed it for the worse)

2) Zoomed out view. Normally I'm a fan of seeing the entire field but the CAM is so far zoomed out that I can't tell who is who. My eye's literally can't see/focus on the whole field hence when I'm playing defense (or offense for that matter) I have no idea where the ball is going, who is open, I can't see the play develop, ect. In other words, it's so far zoomed out that your perifial vision is not in play. You can't be aware of what happening in the pocket and still look for open receivers. You have to focus on one or the other making passing an absolute guessing game.

GOOD
1) the control is super tight

2) graphics of course

Final analysis, it seems ok but if I can't change the cam I'll pass (on the game ) and stick with NCAA.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

My initial impression of the demo is that I enjoyed it. After reading all of the negative reviews I was almost ready to pull my pre-order from Amazon. Fortunately, I played it for myself and found that it isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. The locomotion feels fine. Running may be too easy on All-Pro, but has anyone tried to mess with the CPU sliders to make it a little harder? I haven't yet, but I will when I get home later. I don't have a problem with the strategy pad. Sure, we've got to memorize new buttons, but as they say, "it ain't rocket science." I like the kick meter better than using the RS stick, mainly because the way Madden/NCAA implemented the RS stick made the kicking game irrelevant because it was too easy. I haven't tried out GF or GP yet, so I have no comment on that. The best thing about it is EA left it as an option, and didn't ram it down our throats.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here

Madden 11 playbooks are substantially smaller than Madden 10

I use the Colts and their offensive playbook every year. Something about their playbook on '11 didn't seem right to me, so I counted plays & formations from Madden '10. I left out special teams and goaline.

Heres what I found: Colts playbook for Madden 10 has 21 sets and 345 plays total

Colts playbook for Madden 11 has 13 sets with 216 plays total

Madden '10 has 8 more sets and 129 more plays. They also removed Shotgun Ace that was only found in the Colts playbook, one of my favorite sets.
