If Madden and/or NCAA's online gameplay wasnt so laggish.

Is this something that is even worked on? I would like to know because every year I hope for it to be fixed (or at least improved).

Thoughts? Comments? Concerns?

there are many things that can cause lag could be the player your playing against is far away or your own line has 20 hops before you connect to the ea server or as you are suggesting ea servers not working the greatest.

they did chop off alot of there older games so that there servers wont be so overloaded with people playing 3-4 year old games and you as a gamer can enjoy your new purchases.

to me though i would rather there games have the option to connect to ea servers or direct ip to ip and then you would not have to play on there server at all just snych with the person you want to play with.

i don't even bother with madden online because of the lag. it's like playing a totally different game because of it.

This is exactly the way I feel about MLB 2k games. But I don't notice lag on Madden at all.

EA's servers always seem to be laggy, whether it football or BC2...As said before there are several factors--I pay for top notch internet and still have problems consistently with multiplayer games.
Even the best of games will lag.

Just the kick meter and hit stick for me. Everything else is fine.

I consider lag to be as much a game condition as wind, snow, or rain... Both players must deal with lag. Also, since there are too many factors that EA cannot control when it relates to online play that it's not logical to fault EA for online lag.

Fortunately, Most of my games are virtually lag free when compared to past years possibly because more people are using broadband to their network connections...

Me too...

I dont see much lag at all, and I played 2 full seasons online.

I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway.
