Get. Back. On. Topic.
I didn't realize it was quite that serious. Thanks for the heads up.

You're so not the one to be discussing much less reprimanding someone on class. I've seen far worse from you, stuff that wouldn't even make it past the forums filters. Are you high is ever so mild in comparison.

I'd be willing to bet some good hard money that the majority of players play Offline Franchise, because we know the majority of players play offline. Only 70 some odd percent have an online connection, and of that the majority of them login to play a game once online and then never do so again.

The question is what does a 'franchise update' (or addition) mean. It can mean a LOT of things to a lot of different people/posters. For me, I'm looking to see things like the ability to manipulate my player contracts, team chemistry ratings, strategy in coach hirings and site upgrades, but the big thing I'm looking for is a Franchise mode that's centered on the franchise. That means wrap ups and stories based on the franchise. Auto-genereated radio feeds that play out while I'm in the franchise menu about the franchise and info around the league. In-depth news articles from around the league and how it affects my franchise. A weekly recap show that gives an overview of the NFL, but focuses each week on my team, my franchise.

That's what I want, but it's probably not what others are looking for in a franchise upgrade. Others may want the ability to be more like a GM, and head coach, with a focus on simming/management (which is so not my cup of tea). I know I see Adembroski playing Head Coach '09 on his XBox Live profile, and all I can think of is 'how can he play that game?' Point is when someone yells for franchise updates, we aren't necessarily yelling for the same thing.

With regards to the video, I didn't see any new footage in it. Am I overlooking something? I didn't even catch any new information off of it. I will say however, after giving EAAnthony a hard time on the last couple of videos, I gotta give him a +1 on the jazz hands. That was pretty funny, actually made me smile.

I was there one of the times. And would have been there the 2nd time but couldn't get out of work so I know he's met with them twice face to face.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Video: Developer Series - Gameplay Changes Exposed

I think this year there focusing on the core game play, fixing game play bugs like the blocking, two feet in-bounds on the sideline, catching. Some of yall complain that the developers just add gimmicky new features every year instead of fixing the core game play problems, maybe that is what they are doing this year? That's probably why we haven't heard to many big feature announcements this year. For the most part its been all offense, hopefully they did the same for defense.

I wish I could say I learned something about Madden 11 from this video. I also hope this was the last of this developer series.

Valdarez, what I said to you in private over a year ago in response to some totally unnecessay PM's you sent me because you thought you held the higher moral ground to police my posts and tell me how I can and cannot use "lol" (among other things) has nothing to do with this, and you having the nerve to bring that up here is contradictory to your intent in the quoted post. How is that classy? Guess what? It's not.

Anyway, I'm just going to say this and be done... What's happened in this thread and a number of others makes me question why I even bother. Almost every discussion turns into insults or accusations of someone lying. God forbid you try to make your case because then that's classified as an argument rather than a discussion. There really is nothing wrong with a debate, but they become insulting in situations that hardly make sense and that's the real problem. I can see why the EA devs are more standoffish here now. This site overall is great and I think it's well-run. But some of the members make it tougher than it needs to be. I mean, who wants to be called a liar every other post, or get attacked just for making an opposing case or get PM's of the same? After a while, anyone would rather not deal with that.
