Madden Franchise Start Date

How come we can't have the option to start the Franchise season right after the pro bowl? Wouldn't it be nice if you could decide who to cut, trade, and keep? If not after the pro bowl then how about have it start at the draft. Yes, a few roster changes wouldn't be on there, but in Madden you never get to do an actual draft. There are loads of complaints about the importing of a draft class. I love pro sports, but I enjoy the front office part of putting together a team.

An Eagles fan could opt to keep Donovan. Of course this feature would relie on accurate contracts, bonus dates, restricted FAs, tenders, getting compensatory picks, ETC.

Also, if they want NCAA to have an export draft class feature why don't they just take us to a screen in NCAA with all the potential players to include in a class and just less choose who to export.

I get it they want to make sure you have to buy next year's games, but we will always buy next year's to get new features, jersey updates, stadium updates, and updated ratings/rosters.

I'll pass. Youth all the way.

However, I agree...and HC09 let you start either at the beginning of the past offseason or at the start of the preseason.

Example I like: If the Eagles don't trade up for Eric Berry tomorrow, I'll be devastated. So, let me do that in Madden.

I know its a lot more work and that would be a very cool feature. But hypothetically couldnt you do that already in Madden. For example write out your own draft on the computer or something and then before starting a franchise, go into the roster and movie rookie players around. You could also move other players around as well to adjust teams needs.

Only question I guess would be if moving players around before starting your franchise is if it would effect your teams salary cap at all.
