QB Avoidance?

Just curious if anyone is using this and having any success?

My backup QB is a 2nd year player with an elusivness rating of 88. I started a game and put him in just to try it out.

I can't get it to work at all. I'm still getting wrapped up and taken down my the first rusher 99.9% of the time, and he's the most elusive QB in the entire league. My guy just does that ugly looking sidestep that doesnt fool anyone and gets taken down.

Any suggestions'?

i think you just do it away from the rusher. that's one time i had it work.

I've never had it work for me. I even sat in practice and tried to see if I could get it to work. The problem for me seems to be responsiveness. It seems like the animation start is delayed.

Re: QB Avoidance?

Another waste of time by EA.

If they only worked on perfecting the basic stuff and stop wasting time with more crap that doesn't work.

Well done EA

Re: QB Avoidance?

Its because the stupid thing only lets you slide around in the pocket, which is pointless too since its easier to do it normally

The thing should have been like the trucking stick, where even if you get wrapped you could attempt to break out..............

but no...and Big Ben is deprived of his greatest strength yet again

Re: QB Avoidance?

I've made it happen on accident. Pushed a button to throw as the pressure gets there and my QB is stiff-arming a defender. Actually caught me by surprise because when I didn't see the ball thrown, I thought I was sacked, but the play was still going, it surprised me heh.

I couldn't try to do it to safe my life.

Re: QB Avoidance?

I've gotten it to work, but I typically just use the L-stick to dance around the pocket. I always forget to use the r-stick because I keep thinking its used for pump fakes ala NCAA Football...
