Very disappointing.
Well said, but I think they do that to cover their own backs. If they release the details and something they said they would fix isn't fixed, there would be a huge uproar.

My opinion: they do release a beta, Madden 06 was the beta for 07, 07 was the beta for 08, 08 was the beta for 09, 09 was the beta for 10, and now 10 is the beta for 11. It will go on forever.

I've said it a million times. EA only has one goal, to make money. I certainly have no problem with a company making money, however if EA were not just money hungry and they actually wanted to put out the best product possible, they would take the time to do so. Maybe skip a year and just release roster updates so they can get the game right, but it will never happen, Why? They don't have to. If millions of people still bought your product year after year no matter what , you would have no reason to take the time needed to get the game right. You would release a sub par game every year, then toss out a couple patches to try and get the game to play as it should out of the box and take in millions in profit and laugh all the way to the bank.

Madden Football a never ending cycle of fixing what is broken.
What year do you think it will be when we buy a Madden game, take it home, play it, and it actually plays like a real game of football right out of the box? I'm betting it won't happen in my lifetime, yeah I'm old.

Out.

As frustrating as the game release / feedback / patch update process is, remember, EA doesn't have to do anything. After all, they could say, here's the game, it's $60, its your CHOICE to buy it or not, any issues that come up will be dealt with in 2011.

I get just as frustrated as the next guy with the glaring gameplay issues that have been in the game since Moses parted the Red Sea. But again, at least Ian and his counterparts listen to the feedback we give them and are acting on it now.

Some of you guys act like such spoiled babies that its really pathetic to hear you cry like you do. Go outside or get a job.

So let's say you go out and buy a nice new HDTV. You get it home and only half of the screen has a picture and the other half is black. I guess you would be fine with that? You wouldn't mind waiting a couple months for a fix? Or would you expect the product to work correctly , and if not you would return it for a full refund?

I'm glad we are getting patches to fix the game. My beef is, the game should not need the patches in the first place.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Bottom line.

If you feel your game is broken then why not return it to where you bought it from and get your money back?

If you're TV was broken, wouldn't you return it to the place you bought it to get your money back?

And you don't feel that this game should need patches. So do you feel the same about other titles that receive patches, that they shouldn't "need" them?

You can return a TV. Once you open a video game I dont think you can return it.

if you feel its "broken" you can. I mean, why couldn't you?

Take the game to the store, tell them that its not working properly and that you would like to return it.

We don't have the patch details, because it's not approved. I choose to not talk about anything until I see it in the game with my own eyes. There are numerous things that I think are going in that might not due to the deadline, and if that happens I end up being the goat. Not gonna happen.

And keeping the community in the loop on a rough timeline is now "hyping"?

Confused.
