Disable fumble minigame?

Hi,

The fumble mini game is online games is really frustarting. It is not very realistic or fair to determine by tapping speed the winner of a fumble.

How this feature can be disabled in online franchise or is it possible? If not, will the patch fix this issue?

How's it not fair? You can determine if you can the fumble? Rather than it be random...seems pretty fair to me.

Just tap faster. If your on the ball first, it should be easy.

How tapping a controller relates to recoveing a fumble in real life?

It would not be random if tapping is disabled. I am sure that EA has coded it so that the player that is closest to the ball will most probably recover it (of course depending on his hands or something like it). With the mini game enabled it is just determined who is faster tapping the buttons, not good. I do not mean that I would not win fumbles with this mini game enabled, I would just prefer an option to disable it because it is totally unrealistic.

How does pressing a button relate to throwing a ball in real life?

The fight for the fumble is too simulate, The Fight for the fumble.

It is meant to model what happens at the bottom of a pile. The person who wants the ball the most (ie eye gouging, biting, scratching , wateva) gets the ball.

So whoever wants the ball more in Madden, taps faster. Its a logical connection.

You can turn it off online. Then it is determined by: first on, ratings, roll of dice.


With the mini game on, the person first on, has a CLEAR advantage.

About throwing by pressing a button.. Of course, you are not performing any throwing manouver but you need to have timing and you need to decide whom to throw to.

I still disagree on your logic but let's not go there any deeper.

Where has it been stated that the fumble minigame takes into account the distance of a player to the ball? Is it just your gut feeling or has EA stated it somewhere?

I'm not sure if there is a way to disable it online. If there is I would also like to know about it.

I have disabled in off-line mode.

Dude the person who jumps on it first, has a 1 BAR LEAD. Depending on how soon after the 2nd guy jumps on, the advantage the first guy has may be larger or smaller.


IT definitely does not start equal ANY TIME. . .

I've had it where my dude jumps on first by miles, and all I had to do was press ONE button.

Give the minigame more than 2 tries mate. I've had probably 50. I know how it works.
