Can anyone tell me what this rating means in madden. Seen it in the game forever but have no idea what it means.

I know it deals with recovery from injuries. I'm sure it deals with tackling/blocking things like that too.

basically means how tough they are. If it's a RB and they're really tough, it will be hard to bring them down. If they're tough as a safety or linebacker, two defenders will try to take a player down but it'll be that player that brings him down. etc.

oh, i thought that was strength. so basically those two ratings mean the same?

- Toughness: When injuries are calculated, determines severity of injury (if at all). So higher toughness means less likelihood of severe injuries. Also speeds up recovery of injury in Franchise mode
