I have not bought the game yet but have read conflicting reports that the NT in a 3-4 D does not get doubled. This would ruin the ability to run the 3-4 Defense and would make defending with lots of teams very difficult.

So I was wondering if this was true or not.

The 3-4 has worked well for me so far. The NT doesn't get doubled, however its usually easy to beat the C and the the RG usually steps in to help, so while the NT doesn't take both blockers at one time he usually occupies both the C and a G so it easy for a DE or OLB to get into the backfield.

FYI I use the pack, with raji in the middle and jenkins and kampman at the ends, with a rookie i drafted at kampman's olb spot. So it may just work better for me cuz kampman is rated 99 if moved to de.

Cant be broke if it never really worked.

The only thing Im mad about right now concerning the 3-4 is the lack of pressure you get with OLBs.

I wanted to play with my Fins. It sounds like I can't unless I somehow switch their playbook every game to a 4-3. uggggh..

How does stuff like this slide through the cracks when all they do is rave about Pro-Tak and improved blocking..etc.

The 3-4 is the main defense of the NFL now. And it may be too complex to patch.

Any fins fans playing online with the 3-4 and still stopping the inside runs?

You guys do know that not every 3-4 NT is required to take on double teams right? Jay Ratliff for the Cowboys is used as a 1 gap penetrator. The issue with the current 3-4 defense in madden is that the olb are not creating the type of pressure that you see in real life.

So there are issues?

Ok, well does the Fins playbook have the 4-3? That would work for me because JT could play the opposite DE.
