Madden 10 franchise vs HC 09

Can any of the devs or someone in the know detail and talk about what is different in terms of franchise mode in Madden 10 compared to a fully featured game like HC 09?

What's in 10 that's not HC 09, or what's not in Madden 10 that's in HC 09.

I'm almost glad that I've never played Head Coach 09'. There seems to be much more detail in the franchise mode and I really don't know what I'm missing when I play Madden 09'. I have nothing to reference it to. It's sometimes better to not know what you don't have.....

Head Coach 09 is very good. If you could actually play the games then it would be amazing. Madden 09's franchise mode along with all the current gen franchise modes up to Madden 09 were terrible. I don't understand why you would be happy you never played Head Coach.

Madden 10 franchise mode looks real good though. As for the differences you could probably just check out the Q@A and also check out some videos.

I have Head Coach and although it was very deep and had so many elements that go unnoticed in madden franchise I needed to play the games. Watching the inept computer trying to run my plays on a rigid 08 engine was too frustrating and slow for me.

As many have said. You put the elements of head coach into madden so you have the ability to play the games, and you would have a superior franchise mode that would probably keep me locked inside my house for a year

Part of the fun in HC is NOT actually playing the game. Thats when some of the frustration comes in though. Like the poster above me said, the CPU is ******** at times. Like, the dumb **** you're happy that the CPU does against you in madden that stops them from getting a first down YOUR team now does.

Re: Madden 10 franchise vs HC 09

I couldnt get into HC09, and I am a franchise nut. Dont get me wrong, it was a pretty good game, but I liked to actually play the game myself. Just making decisions on plays and having no control on the outcome didnt do it for me. Plus, after awhile, it just got redundant doing the same things over and over. It wouldve probably been better if you could play the actual games to break up the monotony, but sadly, you couldnt.

And I really hope no one ever expect Madden franchise mode to be as detailed as HC. Im sure they will add some more good stuff to it in the coming years, but HC was for the hardcore sim fan. I know EA is saying they are trying to createt he ultimate sim, but if they make that as detailed as HC, it will alienate alot of younger and casual gamers, which make up a large portion of their customer base.

I might check it out. To at least see what all the fuss is about. It must be really good because it's extremely hyped up for it' in-depth off-season.

OT: Avril is going nowhere. lol
